Daniel Ritchey was born in the mountains of North Carolina. He was raised as the youngest of four children in a home that always put Christ first. His early years were spent playing and working on his grandfather’s farm and going to Church every time the doors were open. The family jokes saying “even if we were just going to watch the paint dry, if the doors were open we were at Church”. It was in the summer of 1999 the family moved to Pfafftown NC, an event that God used to change Daniel’s life forever. Public school was tough for him, but the Lord graciously put good people in his path. On August 25, 2004 Daniel accepted Christ as Savior. Admittedly Daniel knew the Truth from his childhood, but never truly acted on it until that Wednesday night that he gave his life to the Lord. Daniel surrendered to the call to preach in August 2006. He married his sweetheart Dara in 2009. They currently live in King, NC and attend Freedom Baptist Church in Rural Hall, NC. Daniel and Dara are active with the teens at the Church. Dara sings in a ladies trio and the adult choir, and helps teach in their churches Youth Club. Daniel teaches the teen Sunday School class and leads the Teen Choir. He regularly preaches in two area rest homes, to the church bus ministry teens and preteens, and in a local prison. He’s also active in the Church visitation program. Daniel holds a Bachelors Degree in Theology from Freedom Baptist Bible College in Rural Hall, NC.
